Towards finite field theory: the Taylor-Lagrange regularization scheme

We recall a natural framework to deal with local field theory in which bare amplitudes are completely finite. We first present the main general properties of this scheme, the so-called Taylor-Lagrange regularization scheme. We then investigate the consequences of this scheme on the calculation of perturbative radiative corrections to the Higgs mass within the Standard Model. Important consequences for the renormalization group equations are finally discussed.

Effective Field Theory of Precision Electroweak Physics at One Loop

The one loop effects of two dimension-six operators on gauge boson self energies are computed within an effective field theory framework. These self energies are translated into effects on precision electroweak observables, and bounds are obtained on the operator coefficients. The effective field theory framework allows for the divergences that arise in the loop calculations to be properly handled, and for unambiguous bounds on the coefficients to be obtained. We find that the coefficients are only weakly bounded, in contrast to previous calculations that obtained much stronger bounds. We argue that the results of these previous calculations are specious.

Muon g-2 vs LHC in Supersymmetric Models

There is more than 3 sigma deviation between the experimental and theoretical results of the muon g-2. This suggests that some of the SUSY particles have a mass of order 100 GeV. We study searches for those particles at the LHC with particular attention to the muon g-2. In particular, the recent results on the searches for the non-colored SUSY particles are investigated in the parameter region where the muon g-2 is explained. The analysis is independent of details of the SUSY models. Future prospects of the collider searches are also discussed.
